Dust Control - Weld County Project -

The Weld County dust control project is a partnership formed between Envirotech Services Inc. and the Weld County Public Works Department in 2009.  Since the late 1980’s dust control and stabilization on unpaved roads was typically achieved by using Liquid Magnesium Chloride and blends of Lignosulfonate and Magnesium Chloride.  The typical effectiveness of these products is 3 to 6 months depending on a myriad of external factors.  These factors include: moisture / rain fall, humidity, temperature, wind, traffic counts and loads, and application methods.

In this particular project we are attempting to study all external factors and their effect on various dust control and stabilization products.  The goal of this project is to provide quantitative data to allow road and bridge crews to continue to provide good customer service based on solid technology.

Dust Control - Douglas County Project -

Douglas County Public Works Department has been a customer of EnviroTech's for the last 15 years using dust control and deicing products. With the increase in traffic and to better serve Douglas County residents, Douglas County Public Works and EnviroTech Services Inc. have partnered up to conduct testing on various selected roads in Douglas County.  The testing will provide a clear picture on how individual products and road bases are performing.  In recent years, Douglas County has been using a Magnesium Lignosufonate Blend to treat high traffic unpaved roads.  The main focus of this study will be to compare Magnesium Lignosulfonate blends to a new product produced exclusively by EnviroTech Services Called durablend.

In this particular project we will study all external factors and their effect on various dust control and stabilization products.  Those external factors include, Weather, Leaching data, traffic and cumulative dust data.  The goal of this project is to provide quantitative data to allow road and bridge crews to continue to provide good customer service based on solid technology.
