Dust Control Products Testing

Douglas County Dust Control Test
W/O 08-15-2011

Douglas County made the decision to go back to both Boothill and Buckboard roads and treat them both topically with durablend. This topical application took place on Wednesday, August 17th in the morning. Both roads were lightly bladed, not cut. Form here on out, observations will be made as to the performance of both roads with this additional, topical application.

When Boothill ("West"- durablend application) and Buckboard ("East"- 7030 application) roads were observed on Friday, August 19th at 11:30 am, there were no visible differences in the appearance of the roads. Both roads were dry with no potholing or wash boarding. There was no dust on either of the roads.

For photos of the 08-19-11 observation, please reference the "Douglas County Project" in the research and development section of our website. Photos of the 7030 portion of road can be found on the "Douglas County East" hyper-link in the "Photo Gallery" section and photos of the durablend portion of road can be found on the "Douglas County West" hyper-link in the "Photo Gallery" section.
